Referral Partner Terms

These terms apply when you join my referral program. They are written in plain language on purpose, and you accept them when you apply in the partner portal.

In these terms, “I”, “me” and “Receive Reiki” mean Norbert Seres, a Florida sole proprietor who operates Receive Reiki and ReceiveReiki.com. “You” means the referral partner. How the program works day to day is explained on the Referral Partner Program page, and its guidance on how to talk about my work is part of these terms.

1. Joining

• You apply in the partner portal at book.receivereiki.com/partners. The information you give must be true and complete, and you keep it up to date.
• You must be 18 or older to join.
• The program is open to U.S. persons for now. If you are not a U.S. person, please write to hello@receivereiki.com instead of applying.
• I review every application myself and may decline one. Your referral code works only once I have approved your application.

2. You are independent

You are an independent referral partner. You are not my employee, agent, legal partner, joint venturer or legal representative, and nothing in these terms makes you one. You may not make promises, accept payments, sign agreements or otherwise act for Receive Reiki, and nothing you say binds me. You decide how and when you make introductions, and you pay your own costs.

3. Describing my work truthfully

Everything you say about Receive Reiki must be true and must not mislead. Follow the guidance in How to talk about Receive Reiki and the list of what not to say. In short:

• You may describe the service and the experience, use the approved description and messages, and state the facts listed on that page: that I personally carry out the work, that I am a Reiki Master Teacher with more than 23 years of Reiki and energy-work experience, that the services are carried out remotely for clients across the United States, and the prices shown on this site.
• Do not say or suggest that the work cures, treats or diagnoses any medical or mental-health condition, that it guarantees any result, that it removes demons, curses or entities, or that it keeps a home or the people in it safe from harm.
• Do not say or suggest that a person or a home has a spirit, an entity or any other problem, present the work as a replacement for any professional service, or use fear, pressure or urgency to encourage a booking.
• Do not invent testimonials, client stories or results, or describe experiences you have not had.

4. Telling people you are a partner

Whenever you share your link or code, or recommend my work, let people know that you are one of my referral partners and may receive a referral reward if they book through your link or code. Say it clearly and close to the recommendation, including in social media posts. A line you can use is on the program page.

5. Where and how you share

• No spam. Do not send emails, texts or direct messages to people who have not agreed to hear from you, and follow the laws that apply to the messages you send.
• No unauthorized paid advertising. Do not run paid ads that use the Receive Reiki name, my name or my branding without my written permission, and never run misleading ads.
• No bidding on my brand. Do not bid on Receive Reiki, Norbert Seres or similar branded search terms, including misspellings, in Google Ads or any other search advertising, without my written permission.
• No impersonation. Never present yourself as Receive Reiki or as me, and do not create websites, pages, profiles, domains or email addresses that could be mistaken for mine.
• No coupon or deal sites. Do not post your code or link on coupon, deal, cashback or discount-code sites.
• No manipulation. Do not use cookie, storage or code stuffing, forced or hidden clicks, pop-ups or redirects that open a referral link without the person choosing it, or any other way of attaching your code to a booking the person did not knowingly make through you.
• No passing rewards on. Do not offer or pass any part of a referral reward to a client as cashback, a rebate or a discount, unless I have approved a specific promotion in writing.
• No self-referrals and no fraudulent referrals. Do not use your own code for your own bookings, and do not create or arrange bookings in order to receive referral rewards.

6. Your professional obligations

You are responsible for following the rules that apply to you: those of your employer, brokerage, licensing board and professional body, the laws of your state, and the terms of any platform you use. Some of these limit or forbid accepting referral fees. Real estate licensees, for example, should check their state’s rules and their brokerage’s policy before accepting a referral reward. If your rules do not allow you to accept a referral reward, do not accept it, and let me know.

7. Referral rewards

Referral rewards are paid only for my four remote services, at these amounts, for each client you referred:

Each service has its own first reward. A referred client’s first qualifying session of a service earns that service’s first reward, and each later qualifying session of the same service earns the later reward. For example, if a client’s first booking is a Remote Reiki Session ($10) and they later book their first Home & Space Energy Cleansing, that cleansing earns the $75 first reward for the Home service, and each Home cleansing after it earns $35.

8. What qualifies

A client is connected to you when all of these are true:

• They are a new client: they have never paid for a booking with me before.
• Their first paid booking is made with your valid code, through your link or typed into the “Referral code” box, while your partnership is approved and not suspended.
• They are not you. A booking you make or pay for yourself is a self-referral and does not qualify.

That connection is permanent. The first valid code on a new client’s first paid booking decides it, and a later code cannot replace it.

A session earns a referral reward only when all of these are true:

• It is one of the four remote services in the table above. In-person services are not part of the program.
• It has been completed.
• It has been paid for.
• It has not been cancelled or refunded.

Tips never earn a referral reward. Someone who had already paid for a booking with me before your introduction is an existing client and cannot be referred as a new one.

9. When a referral reward becomes payable

A referral reward becomes payable once its session has been completed and paid for, and has not been cancelled or refunded. Your dashboard in the partner portal shows each referral reward and its status.

10. Refunds, cancellations and reversals

• If a booking is refunded before its referral reward has been paid, that reward is reversed and is not paid. If the reward was already paid before the booking was refunded, I may offset that amount against future unpaid referral rewards rather than asking you to send the payment back.
• A booking that is cancelled is treated in the same way as one that is refunded.
• An offset only reduces referral rewards that have not been paid yet. Nothing is ever charged to you or taken from your PayPal or Venmo account, and your dashboard shows each offset and how much of it has been applied.
• Referral rewards obtained through fraud, abuse or a breach of these terms may be withheld or reversed, and a referral reward already paid on that basis may be offset against your future referral rewards.

11. How referral rewards are paid

Eligible referral rewards are reviewed and paid manually after they become payable. I pay them myself, by PayPal or Venmo, to the account you give in the partner portal. The portal records referral rewards, offsets and payments; it does not send or collect money, and nothing is paid automatically. Your payout history is in your dashboard.

A signed Form W-9 must be on file before any referral reward is paid. If a payment cannot be completed with the details you gave, the referral reward stays payable until you correct them.

12. Taxes

Referral rewards may be taxable income, and you are responsible for your own taxes on them. Receive Reiki may file information returns about the referral rewards paid to you, such as Form 1099, as the law requires, using the details on your Form W-9. That is why a W-9 is required. You complete and sign it electronically inside the partner portal, never by email. The program is open to U.S. persons only for now. I cannot give you tax advice.

13. Privacy

How I handle your information is set out in the Privacy Policy. In short, I keep your application details, your sign-in email, your payout preference and handle, the referral rewards, offsets and payments on your account, and your Form W-9. Your taxpayer identification number is encrypted, shown masked, and revealed only when it is genuinely needed for tax reporting.

Clients’ details are never shared with you. For each referral your dashboard shows the service, the date, its status and the referral reward, and nothing that identifies the client.

14. Changes to the program or these terms

I may change the program, the referral reward amounts or these terms. I will tell you by email, at the address on your partner account, at least 14 days before a change takes effect. A change applies only to referral rewards earned after its effective date, and referral rewards you have already earned keep their amount. If you do not agree with a change, you can end your partnership before it takes effect.

15. Suspending or ending the partnership

Either of us may end the partnership at any time, for any reason, by telling the other by email. I may suspend or end it straight away if you break these terms, if I suspect fraud or abuse, or if the law or your professional rules do not allow it. While a partnership is suspended, your code does not connect new clients.

When a partnership ends, your code stops working and no new referral rewards are earned, including for clients already connected to you. Referral rewards you earned legitimately before it ended are still paid once they become payable and your W-9 is on file, unless they are forfeited because of fraud or abuse.

16. Referral rewards are not guaranteed

The program is my way of thanking you for genuine introductions. Referral rewards are not guaranteed earnings. This program is not employment, and no number of referrals, bookings or rewards is promised. There is nothing to buy in order to join. I set my own services and prices, and I may change them.
