Terms of Service

These terms explain what you are booking, what you are paying for, and what happens if plans change. They are written in plain language on purpose.

Receive Reiki is operated by Norbert Seres, a Florida sole proprietor. Norbert Seres is the service provider and the seller of record for every session booked through this website.

1. Who these terms are between

These terms are an agreement between you (the person booking, referred to as "you") and Norbert Seres (referred to as "Norbert"), who operates the website ReceiveReiki.com and provides the sessions offered on it.

By booking a session, paying for a session, or using this website, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not book a session.

Three other documents form part of this agreement and should be read alongside it: the Cancellation Policy, the Privacy Policy, and the Wellness Disclaimer.

2. What is provided

What you book is a remote Reiki session with Norbert, of the length you selected, beginning at the time you reserved.

The session is delivered remotely. There is no call, no video meeting, no camera, no app, and no attendance requirement of any kind. You are not asked to join anything, be online, be reachable, stay awake, or do anything in particular. Remote Reiki is also described elsewhere as distance Reiki, distant Reiki, online Reiki, or virtual Reiki; these terms cover the same thing under any of those names.

Reiki is a spiritual-wellness experience, intended to support relaxation and reflection — an opportunity to pause and receive. Some people report warmth, tingling, emotion, sleepiness, or other subjective experiences. Experiences vary, no particular experience is required, and no outcome is guaranteed.

A human session must be booked by the adult who will receive Reiki. An animal session may be booked by the animal’s adult owner or authorized caretaker.

Human sessions are available to adults aged 18 and over. Animal bookings must be placed by an adult owner or authorized caretaker, who confirms that authority at booking and acknowledges that animal Reiki is a spiritual-wellness service and not veterinary care.

Animal information you provide. An animal booking asks for the animal’s name, the type of animal, a breed or identifying description, and the location where the animal will be during the scheduled session. The owner or authorized caretaker is responsible for providing accurate information, including that location. Animal Reiki does not diagnose, treat, prescribe for, or replace veterinary care. The full scope is set out in the Animal Wellness Disclaimer, which forms part of these Terms. The same cancellation and refund policy applies to human and animal sessions.

Norbert speaks English and Hungarian; the website and automated booking emails are currently provided in English.

3. Scope of the service

Receive Reiki provides spiritual-wellness Reiki sessions. The complete scope of the service is set out in the Wellness Disclaimer, which forms part of these Terms. By booking, you confirm that you have read it.

If you are in crisis or need urgent help, contact your local emergency service or a qualified professional. Booking a session is not a way to obtain urgent help, and Norbert does not monitor bookings or messages for emergencies.

4. Eligibility

• Human sessions are available to adults aged 18 and over. Animal bookings must be placed by an adult owner or authorized caretaker. By booking, you confirm you are 18 or older.
• Norbert speaks English and Hungarian. The website and automated booking emails are currently provided in English.
• Online booking is currently available to clients in the United States.

Norbert may ask you to confirm your eligibility, and may decline or cancel a booking that does not meet these conditions. Where a booking is cancelled for that reason, section 8 applies.

5. Booking and payment

Sessions are prepaid. Prices are in US dollars and are charged in advance:

• 1 hour — $89
• 2 hours — $178
• 3 hours — $267
• 4 hours — $356
• 5 hours — $445
• 6 hours — $534
• 7 hours — $623
• 8 hours — $712

That is $89 per hour at every length. No package, subscription, or membership is offered. Sessions longer than one hour are held across consecutive hours.

Introductory rate. A first one-hour session is currently offered at $67 instead of $89. It applies to one booking, of the one-hour length only, and only where the booking email address has not previously completed a paid session. Eligibility is determined by Receive Reiki when the booking is made, and the amount charged is shown before payment. All other lengths are charged at the prices listed above. This introductory rate may be withdrawn at any time; a booking already paid for is not affected.

Confirmation. A booking is confirmed only once payment succeeds. Until then, no time is held for you. Your confirmation is sent by email, with preparation instructions and a calendar file.

Card details. Payment is processed by Stripe. Your card details are handled by Stripe and are never seen, collected, or stored by this website or by Norbert.

Times and availability. Sessions are available every day between 1:00 PM and 9:00 PM US Central Time. Times are shown to you in your own timezone, and you can change the timezone if your device detects the timezone incorrectly. You may book up to 90 days ahead, and at least 2 hours before the start time.

Taxes. Prices are shown as charged. Any tax that applies to you personally is your responsibility.

Tipping. At checkout you may add an optional tip. No tip is the default and is already selected; leaving it that way is an ordinary choice and changes nothing about the session. If you would like to add one you can choose $10, $15 or $25, or enter your own amount. A tip is charged as a separate line on the same payment, and is available for human and animal sessions alike. It forms part of the amount you paid for every refund calculation in section 6.

6. Rescheduling and cancellation

The Cancellation Policy is the authoritative document on this subject. The summary below is provided for convenience; where the two differ, the Cancellation Policy applies.

The windows are measured against the session's current start time. If the booking has already been moved, each rule above applies to the time it stands at now, not the time originally booked. And once a late change has been used, the booking is permanently non-refundable: moving it further into the future does not put it back inside the first row.

How an eligible refund is issued. When you cancel at least 24 hours before the start time, you are shown the amount paid, the payment-processing cost, and the refund before you confirm. Once you confirm, the refund is sent to your payment provider and you are emailed the same figures. If the exact amount cannot be confirmed at that moment, the cancellation is still recorded with that date, the refund is reviewed by hand, and you are emailed once it has been sent. The time it then takes to reach your account is set by your bank or card issuer, not by Norbert.

Cancelling and rescheduling are self-service. Each confirmation email contains a private link for managing that booking. Both actions are taken through it, and the applicable rule is evaluated at the moment you act.

The processing cost. When a customer cancels an ordinary booking, the payment processor's cost for taking the original payment is not recoverable. That actual nonrecoverable cost is deducted from the amount refunded.

Tips. A tip is optional and may be added when you book. It forms part of the same single payment, so it is part of the amount paid for every purpose in this section: it is included in what an eligible cancellation refunds, and included in full when Norbert cancels. It is not refunded separately and is not treated as a non-refundable purchase.

If Norbert cancels. If Norbert cancels a session, you receive a full refund of the amount you paid, including any tip, with the processing cost absorbed by Norbert — or, if you prefer, a free reschedule at a time you choose. The choice is yours. The timing rules above govern only what you may do; they do not limit this.

Duplicate charges and technical failures. If you are charged twice, or a technical failure prevents a booking being fulfilled, you receive a full corrective refund with the processing cost absorbed by Norbert. Unlike a routine cancellation refund, a corrective refund may be initiated automatically, so that a payment is never held for a session that cannot take place. How quickly it appears still depends on your bank or card issuer.

7. Your responsibilities

• Give an accurate email address. Your confirmation, preparation instructions, calendar file, and any message about your booking are sent by email. If the address is wrong, those messages will not reach you.
• Choose a time when you can be reasonably still, or at least safe. You do not have to lie down, stay awake, or stay still — but please do not book a session for a time when you will be driving, operating machinery, or doing anything else where becoming drowsy or inattentive would be unsafe.
• Book only for the correct receiver. A human session must be booked by the adult who will receive Reiki. An animal session may be booked by the animal’s adult owner or authorized caretaker.
• Keep your own care in place. A session is not a reason to stop, delay, or change anything a qualified professional has advised.

8. Acceptable use, and declining a booking

Please use this website and the booking system lawfully and in good faith. Do not attempt to interfere with, overload, probe, or gain unauthorized access to the site or the booking system; do not make bookings you do not intend to keep; do not send abusive, threatening, or harassing messages; and do not resell a session.

Norbert may decline or cancel a booking at his discretion — for example where these terms have not been met, where a booking appears fraudulent or automated, or where he is unable to provide the session. Where Norbert declines or cancels a booking, you receive a full refund of the amount you paid, including any tip, with the processing cost absorbed.

9. Intellectual property

The content of this website — the text, images, photographs, design, and code — belongs to Norbert Seres and is protected by copyright. You are welcome to read it, print it, and share links to it. Please do not copy, republish, or reuse it commercially without written permission.

The names Receive Reiki and ReceiveReiki.com are used by Norbert Seres as the trading name and website through which he offers and schedules sessions.

10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Sessions and this website are provided as described, without any promise of a particular result. Please read the Wellness Disclaimer, which forms part of these terms and sets out in full what Reiki is and is not.

Norbert will take reasonable care to provide each session at the time reserved, and to keep this website and the booking system working. He cannot promise that the website will always be available or entirely free of error.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Norbert is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for any decision you make about your health, work, or personal life following a session. Where he is found liable in connection with a session or with this website, that liability is limited to the amount you paid for the session concerned.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded, including liability for fraud, and nothing in them affects any consumer rights you have under applicable law.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising from them or from a session will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Florida, and you and Norbert each agree to that.

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.

12. Changes to these terms, and how to contact us

These terms may be updated from time to time — for example if the offer, the booking process, or the law changes. The effective date at the top of this page always shows the current version. A change does not alter the terms that applied to a booking already confirmed before the change was published.
